This is an excellent area to relax in for a few days and float around. Driving East to the coast, two hours away, you will probably pass 10-20 cars, and maybe fewer. The scenery is beautiful and the roads are rolling. Ideal country for motorcycles or convertibles. Add in some local pubs, some local personalities, some historic gold mining settlements, and you can easily while away a few days let alone an afternoon.
Then, if you wish, you can reach into the sophistication and buzz of the Queenstown area together with some of our special guides, such as multiple gold medal winning winemaker Grant Taylor, or the first lady to climb Everst with no oxygen, Lydia Bradey.
Wanaka is only an hour away too, and Fleur's seafood restaurant at Moeraki is just two hours from our door.
If you wish, we can arrange a driver/guide to take you around, and if enough people demand it we may even buy a convertible to hire out.
